21 and over event - No exceptions. Registrants will complete the registration form and we will reply with your invite to purchase a ticket. Euro cars only, all other other will be declined unless you have something very special.
Over the years we have acknowledged some exceptional builds, high quality classics, and other vehicles we feel that won’t degrade from the culture and the vision of the show. If you feel you have something that fits this description please submit and we will let you know how we feel about it. Don’t be butthurt if we don’t allow it. Liken this show to a back yard BBQ. You find out someone down the street is having a BBQ, you like food, you like drinks, you like to socialize, but damn your not invited. Do you think because you enjoy those things you are able to attend? No, you have to be invited and you have to share more in common than the basics. This show is for family. The VAG family of enthusiasts that out participate all other car subgroups in our opinion. There is nothing like the love we share for these VW and Audi models. And our big family are the ones invited. This is the simplest way to understand it.
-
Its quite simplistic. Simply place your 40 bottle in front of the car that you like the most!! The car with the most wins best of show. So be sure to bring your 40 whether you enjoy the crisp cool flavors of cheap malt liquor or not. Even if you save it to pour one out for you lost homies, its best to bring one regardless.
-
Yes, Alcohol will be sold on site and is allowed to be brought with you as well. We prefer cans and plastic for safety reasons but there is no ban on glass. Please clean up after yourself.
-
Yes, be sure to bring lots of cash to participate in the raffle car, and purchase from vendors. Many people will have small parts displays for sale and wont take forms of payment electronically due to lack of cell service and other reasons. Most of them give better prices when cash as well.
-
Yes we suffer if the rains come but we all have a great time regardless.
-
There are no campfires permitted anywhere on the 40s grounds or across the street in the camping grounds. Please join us around the community fire instead!
-
Generally speaking there is not enough service here to rely on using your cell phone. Plan on your phone going dead if you don’t put it on airplane mode… Tell your loved ones where you are going and that you will likely be out of service most of the weekend.
Lack of service honestly makes this show all that much better. Be here and now instead of worrying about the outside world. Make real friends that last a lifetime. People say this is the best part of the show.
Bring cash to buy things with, due this same reason. Vendors will have access to wifi but the show attendees will not.
-
Click Registration Tab on main page, follow prompts and agree to the long list of rules. Please read them all and absorb the information. 40s can’t operate and won’t be permitted for future years if the simple common sense rules are not followed.
Once your submission is received, we will review it and send you an invite to purchase a ticket.
Each person in your party needs to submit an invite request. Passengers with no car of their own, will indicate as such.
Daily driver cars will be held longer in que than actual show cars so please keep that in mind. Show cars, classics, and special interest cars will be accepted very quickly.
Euro ONLY - Please don’t ask to bring your Camaro or Nissan Z please.
-
No. Its up to your to decide if you can make the show. Its seriously not our issue if you double book or decide to attend something else. That cost is associated with your decisions, not ours. Please don’t ask, we will not reply.

Lets say you get here, you enter into the show, start feeling the vibes that the festival provides, and realize you made a big mistake. Your friends or a sexy show goer invites you to stay in their tent and your just generally wishing you had the ability to stay, well its no problem. Head over to the 40s merch tent, and upgrade your wristband to a festival pass. Its $25 more and security will recognize you are able t drink and stay past 6pm…. You’re welcome!
-
No Dogs or pets allowed. We had several issues over the years. Please leave them home unless you have paperwork indicating the dog is a service animal.
-
Yes we will have a full service carnival type food vendor on site with all your favorite festival foods.
Tettas Market will also be vending beer, snacks, and other refreshments.
Feel free to bring as much of your own food and drink as well.
-
Yes BBQ grilles are allowed. If using charcoal please don’t dispense into common garbage cans. We had a fire in the dumpster once… Yup, we did!! Pour your cooler ice on it or plan ahead and have it out before your clean up your area to leave.
-
There will be a festival pass and day pass.
Festival Pass will grant you the ability to camp but also to consume alcohol. You may arrive Friday starting at 3pm and stay till Sunday at 12noon.
Day Pass will allow you onsite from 9am to 6pm Saturday only with no alcohol consumption allowed. Our security will be watching. Day Pass holders are expected to leave the event promptly after awards at 6pm
ATTENTION: All passes can have a show car added to it during submitting your request. Both passes are also able to be choosen if you are a rider in show car or just a regular spectator.
-
They are not banned, but we honestly have to convey that this is really not a spectator event. This a festival for those that love and cherish VW and Audi models. The show is diluted when too many non participants apply and erode the total number we are allowed to have by town law. Our max is 1000 folks so we try to fill the registrations with “participating show goers” first. You will be able to add what car you are riding in with during registration in order to get a decisive invite.
Any spectators who will not ride in and must drive a non euro car will be forced to park on the road, keeping fully right of the white line. ( they will tow you otherwise ) You assume any risk of damage to your car and personal property property.
-
After dark, we will not tolerate bright headlights and moving your vehicle. If you plan to leave its done before dark. Please disable your automatic lights, and refrain from having bright lights shine all night. If you are found moving your car after dark, we will ban you. This is a major sticking point. We have had issues in the past with damaged property and personal injury. Position your car for its final place prior to dark.
-
There will be no vehicles of any kind in the camping area at any time… PERIOD!
Park along the road to setup, and again to tear down. DO NOT enter the camping area.
We have had questions over the years regarding security and safety of your vehicle when its not near you. We feel your pain, but in events past, no vandalism has ever occurred. Most of us have each others back, and we won’t allow for it. Our security team will be looking out for your property as well. If you still are worried, run a dash cam and record the whole time.
-
Yes, there is no charge for this, however there is no electric or sewer hook ups. These vehicles will not enter the camping area and generally we ask if you would let us know prior so we can plan a spot for you that best meets your needs.
-
Car Trailers will be dealt with as they come, but please if you are planning to bring one, come earlier in the morning please. Or Friday after 3pm. We have plenty of room behind the show field for trailers.
-
Please direct your Vending inquiries or sponsorship requests to Aaron Smith at 40sinabagcarshow@gmail.com
There will be a center crossroads in the middle of the show with vendors of all kinds. Food, parts, drinks, merch, and other show awareness tents.
-
Anyone looking to setup a large swap meet area of parts must purchase a vendors space. contact Aaron Smith at 40sinabagcarshow@gmail.com
Anyone looking to sell a few items in the space in front of their car who won’t overflow into the spaces next to them are more than willing to do that.
-
No we don’t allow any types of vehicle aside from golf cars to come to the show. The staff and their help may use ATV’s, side by sides, etc but the guests are not permitted to.
-
Yes we plan to have the couch hayride running most of the day with couches strapped to a trailer being pulled by a vintage 1986 John Deere Tractor.
-
Exhaust noises will be kept to a minimum all day to appease the neighbors and allow us to have future shows. We are permitted to have a sound off competition at a single point in the day for 30 minutes or so.
Absolutely NO TWO STEP noises are allowed at 40s at any point of the day and the sound off competition will not include anyone with 2 step launch control. We will not allow you back if you are found using 2 step while you are here.
-
The outcome will lead to us having to cancel the show. The town board has already issued us a stern warning on reckless driving throughout out our quiet town. There will always be some fool who doesn’t respect this but if we have several it will make our job much harder renewing our permits.
Let it be known the town will have all of its police force on duty this weekend. We also have a large DEP police presence ( Dept of Environmental Protection), County Police, and State Troopers. They will all be on high alert and itching to write tickets to those who can’t follow the law. You have been warned!!
-
Yes, Winner must be present or we move to next ticket. Be present and in the moment around 5-6pm on show day, or you could risk losing your winnings!!
-
The use of illegal drugs and narcotics is banned at 40s. We welcome the use of legal drugs and alcohol if you can maintain your proper composer and stay civil with the other guests. Only you know yourself, so don’t bring that bottle of tequila if it makes your clothes fall off.
NY state allows the use of cannabis and marijuana products. So you can totally bring that and enjoy yourself. We may even have a dispensary vending legal marijuana products as well.
-
Yes, totally, by foot only and with your favorite beverage in hand. Seriously tho, we don’t tolerate cruising the around the 40s field. When our contests are going, you will be required to move to the stage but otherwise keep the cars in static display mode please. Cruise the field atop the 40s hay wagon for a better experience!
-
Friday evening is very quiet. We avoid all loud activities period. We can have a great time together abiding by this.
Saturday night quiet hours start at 12 midnight. The DJ shuts down, and we wind down for the night.
PLEASE - Do not be a loud A-hole in the morning on Sunday when you leave the show. Many have been known to rise very early and get a move on but do so with some integrity and remember others are still sleeping in tents, and the rest of the home owners in the area don’t want to know you just left the show. These little infractions create complaints that we have to address at town board meetings. We don’t appreciate it.
-
No, the show is invite only and all entrants will be ticketed prior and will present their credentials upon entry.
-
Leave your drone at home. These days everyone has a cheap drone now and we can’t have anyone piloting drones here without the permission of the host first. We have a group of guys already planning to fly. Those flying will be required to have a pilots meeting to discuss communications and a plan for the day. Contact Scott, the lead drone pilot of the event at scottdboyce@gmail.com where he will tell you where to be at 9am show day to make a drone plan.
